Code of Conduct - responsibility in our supply chain

Drawn up in 1997, our Code of Conduct builds the basis of our efforts to make our supply chain more sustainable. Watch us in monitoring the compliance with this Code at our supplier factories and also how we work to involve workers in improving their working conditions.

 

 

 

Our supply chain responsibility

H&M does not own any of the factories that manufacture our products. Instead, production takes place at around 1,700 factories that are owned or subcontracted by almost 800 suppliers.Get some insight into how we work with to improve working conditions in their factories. H&M Sewing Training Centre in Dhaka, Bangladesh

For many young people in Bangladesh, a job and an income of their own is not something they can take for granted. Since 1999 H&M has been running a sewing training centre for young people in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka. Each year, 100 young people are given an opportunity to train as industrial sewing machinists. Nasrin Akter is one of them. Watch her story.
