Ban on sandblasting

Sandblasting is a technique used to give garments a used or worn-out look. However, unprotected use of this technique can mean serious health risks to workers. In 2010, H&M  enforced a ban on sandblasting for all products. Find out more about this.

All for Children

H&M Group brands ranked among the 20 most sustainable fashion brands

The Dutch organisation GoedeWaar just published the results of their annual "Kledingchecker" (garment checker). In this benchmark they rank around 325 different fashion brands against their sustainability efforts, based on a detailed questionnaire and the opinions of various experts. Read more here.
