On Wednesday, August 9th , Victoria Justice helped celebrate the back to school season by taking 15 Girl Up members on a shopping spree at the H&M at Fig on 7th location in Los Angeles. Victoria, wearing H&M, was on-site to host the event with Girl Up and help the girls shop for all their back to school needs such as denim, backpacks, updated bombers with letterman details, plaid dresses, button downs, and more!
“I’m thrilled to continue working with Girl Up and H&M to help empower girls everywhere. It was so much fun helping these outstanding girls get ready for back to school” said Victoria.
Since 2010, Girl Up, a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, seeks to empower adolescent girls everywhere by developing leadership skills, community mobilization, and trainings in advocacy, public speaking, and fundraising. Victoria has been a Champion of the program since its start, while H&M has previously partnered with Girl Up on the launch of the H&M 4th of July collection and in celebration of International Women’s Day in March.
Victoria also helped educate the girls on H&M’s garment recycling program which is a year-round initiative in every H&M store across the country. Customers can bring in their unwanted clothing and home textiles in any condition from any brand and receive a 15% discount towards their next purchase. From August 3rd-20th, H&M is offering people who donate the chance to be rewarded with two 15% off coupons for every bag of unwanted items donated. For every pound collected, H&M will donate to Keep America Beautiful, a non-profit organization focused on the environment and community improvement.
